Let’s start at the very beginning . . .

Or rather, let’s start three years and eleven months, or just under one year, down the line, depending which way you look at it. It’s three years, eleven months and twenty-five days since Hannah was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, and it’s ten months and thirteen days since I first wrote and published a blog about it. Until today, my blogs have been posted by The Independent online, which is a great forum to have but does also entail a degree of playing by their rules and, more challengingly, abiding by their word limits! I will continue to publish on their site, but have decided also to play with a few of my own rules (I am a control freak, after all) and, you have been warned, laugh in the face of the word count. Hence, Rett Syndrome and me . . . uncut. Thanks for coming.
